From start to finish, it had everything.๐ฅ ๐ ๐ถ๐ธ๐ฒ ๐ช๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด๐๐ผ๐ป led the way with an incredible 2:19:46 - ๐ฎ ๐ป๐ฒ๐ ๐ฐ๐น๐๐ฏ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฑ!
But this wasnโt just about one performance. This was about first marathons, comebacks, PBs, and getting it done when it got tough.
๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น took on his first-ever marathon for Cancer Research UK and dug deep to enjoy the occasion despite the heat and crowds. ๐๐บ๐ถ๐น๐ ๐ ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ was back on the London start line and raised over ยฃ1000 for Isabel Hospice. ๐๐บ๐ถ๐น๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฑ battled through injury mid-race to make it to the finish (and still found time to shout at Gordon Ramsay in the crowd ๐คฃ).
Out there, it was tough for everyone. ๐๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป ๐ ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ had to grind through the final 10 miles, ๐ก๐ฒ๐ถ๐น ๐๐๐น๐น showed exactly what it takes to complete a first marathon, and ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฎ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ฐ๐ต๐ฒ๐น๐น managed the conditions well to secure another strong run and a GFA.
Thatโs what yesterday showed. Itโs not just about times. Itโs not just about one type of runner.
Itโs about turning up, putting the work in, and getting round - whatever that looks like for you.
If watching yesterday has got you thinking โmaybe I could do thatโฆโ
If yesterday got you thinking about giving it a go, come and train with us.
