Wardle Bowling Club was founded in 1950, their Bowling Green being part of the newly created Wardle War Memorial Gardens. Wardle War Memorial Gardens, Bowling Green & Tennis Courts was only made possible with the financial support of both Wardle Urban Council and a Local War Memorial Appeal, to which many businesses and people in and around Wardle had generously contributed. On Friday, our annual Vet’s 'Trip Out’ took place at the 'Rose N Bowl' in Stacksteads – and once more it was a great day out.... 👍😀👍

We played our usual ‘Pairs’ competition throughout the day for the Frank Horrocks Trophy.

After a fantastic Carvery, the Final then took place. The winners were Malcolm Turner and Terry Cryer, with Runners Up David Hinchcliffe and Pat Grindrod.
