Sherlock’s Dante Northern Light made an appearance at Kenilworth show on the 2nd of June and won both of her Chaps Classes! She was awarded Chaps Champion (above an already graded stallion) and then awarded 1st Res Supreme of the Show.
The supreme judges commented on her temperament and attitude to the buzzy environment.
She’s now qualified for the Chaps National in August. What a fab little filly by Don Dante and beautifully produced so far by her owner, so much more to come from this pair

Well I didn’t need convincing that using Don Dante on my mares was a good idea as they been the best foals and so easy to do. But yesterday just confirmed it as I trucker off with sherlocks Dante norther light ( north) to midlands foal and youngstock show. She handled yesterday like a little pro as it was a lot bigger than I thought. The warm up was packed and I was so proud with how well she handled it.
Results
1st sports horse foal res sports horse champion.
2nd riding horse foal res riding horse champion
1st non native coloured foal
Then to top it off she stood res supreme foal.
The comment from the judges and people outside the ring made me so proud with her being my first fancy hombred dressage foal.
We might even do a bit more showing before she finds her dancing shoes.

The cob side of her breeding has taken over with the fluffy coat. I am sure come spring we will start to see Don Dante again in her. 🤣🤣🙈

Anyone after a little project for the winter. My lovely Charlie need a job as I am never going to have time for him. He a late foal 3 this month. So looks to still have some growing/filling out to do. Light active movement super temperament. Related to more hoys and rihs ponies then I can probably count. Dam 15.2 sire 13:2 he standing just under 14.2 in front at the moment. Well handled come in with the ridden ponies as he helping to keep the grass down in that field. I lead him in with 3 other often loose George but he walks in like a pro.

So proud of my pony yesterday finishing off his medium areas qualifications with a 67.5 with a costly mistake. George thought he add an extra move into are first centre line. 🤣🙈 but I sat for the medium trots and unfortunately it resulted in a better trot and mark. 😩 Anyone that ridden George will understand how bouncy that trot it so it no fun sitting to it.

So I have not been very good at updating this page. So let have a breeding update. I have 2 mares infoal to a very different and exciting stallion for 2024. One is over due and the other due so the sleepless night are a fun thing at the moment. So we have northern upper crush ( and Sherlock’s apollos dreamer ( Apollos x cassey dream) both infoal to Don Dante ( dancier x st pe Sabrina (Salvador) )
Molly (Apollo’s dreamer) being homozygous Tobiano will result in a coloured and pippa (upper crust) carry one copy so we have a 50% chance of patches as well as a 50% chance of a grey foal.
Dante has a wonderful temperament and has passed this onto his offspring and this was one of the reasons I wanted to use him to hopefully bred my next dressage horse to take over from George.

Well that was a good phone call from British dressage. George has been offered a wildcard for the novice silver finals at addington to add to his petplan bronze elementary ticket. What a clever fluffy he is.
So I thought that was a good enough reason to buy a picture from Wellington. Might have to start a album for him this year as I am on a role with the photo buying.
To think this time last year I was just pleased he come sound and was hoping he would stay sound in the field.
