We have a few events coming up over the rest of the summer, so make sure to put them in your diary, and book on if appropriate
Sunday 23 August 10am: Pickleball Taster Session - a chance to try out this fast growing sport.
Pickleball is a fast-growing sport that is very popular with tennis players:
• Low impact on the body but high fun.
• Easy to learn - no need to master new strokes
• Good for your tennis - close net play sharpens your reflexes
We have a couple of one hour taster sessions, with experienced pickleball players on each court explaining the rules, the shots and the strategy. It's great fun and very competitive. All equipment including bats is provided.
If that isn't enough there will also be a bit of finger food available.
Sign up below for one of the sessions which will run concurrently with the normal Club Social Morning.

Five ladies attend the first Ladies Social Tournament, Andy Aitken was tournament organiser and chief distributor of strawberries and grapes on court. Winner was Becky and Runner Up Dee.

Because of the extreme temperatures, both Wantage Tennis Club Courts and the Public Courts will be unavailable for use between 12.00 and 20.00 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. This is primarily to protect the playing surfaces from damage. We do have a Sun Safety Policy and I would encourage everyone to exercise appropriate cautions during the hot weather. If you are having coaching please confirm arrangements by consulting AA Tennis = Wantage Tennis Club Coaching
