Perfect combination morning: lovely fellow yoga teachers sharing practise , asana tips, and thank you Rosie for tastiest lemon drizzle cake. Sharing books & training. As teachers so wonderful to be lead with visualisation in savasana. Also can be a bit isolating so over cuppa we could chat through our up & downs of teaching & life. Thank you BWY in the South

I am so proud of so many of our yoga groups proving Cancer wrong as they are truly healthy and well. It’s a tough journey they have travelled, and some of you with a second or third brush with chemo and radiology treatments really hard. So I am really pleased our annual Coffee morning for Cancer with craft stalls in Cumnor Village Hall on 24 October. All proceeds of the coffee and folk bake and donate cakes and cookies.

Our fabulous stall holders contribute a percentage of their sales to their chosen cancer charity. All local makers with their Handmade soaps, Stoneware pottery, original paintings and prints, and silver jewellery. Jo is bringing her chair for back massages or simple hand massages.

Do come along and enjoy the morning, shop and chatter. We will also have the post box for your Bras against Cancer so sweep up your unused bras however tatty very appreciated. If you can donate a cake or join the helpers be lovely to have your help.

Do come and chat to me if you would like to discuss yoga as part of your recovery from cancer, and lots of the helpers are happy to chat with you about their personal cancer journey. It's a lovely supportive group.

Across the seven weeks we will learn the basics with lots of variety each week. Bring a blanket or towel for the relaxation, layers you can move in and peel on or off as temp changes through the 75minute class.

Today is and the book I totally loved this year is Still life by Sarah Winman, moved to laughter and tears and just magical in its woven stories from Second World war and East of London to Italy. What are you reading and can recommend?

We're so lucky to have our to browse and find your next read! It’s always good to check the displays and this one was a Sunday Times best seller so some light reading planned for my relaxing Sunday. Emma is the smiley helpful person if you want a recommendation!

Monday is literacy day so maybe time to get a book for young person you know and keep their eyes on pages and inspire love of words? There are also great charity shops here in Wantage so do gift your books once you’ve enjoyed reading them and pick up a bargain for a good cause.

An exciting small maroon envelope with my name on arrived in the post! This beautiful hand painted card by an artist friend was such a treat, doubling the pleasure of receiving a hand written thank you. Why not pick up a pen and write to a loved one today, or reach out to that person further afield or too busy to phone you. Nothing beats a thoughtful letter, the anticipation of that colourful or crisp cream envelope arriving by post and surprise of your words within!

In yoga we encourage these mindful practises, enjoying taking time to write and for me neater slower italics to keep my scrawl legible!
