The 2026 Megamo Reason Air e-mountain bike is a seriously impressive bit of kit.

The second your foot hits the pedal, you'll be greeted by more torque than you can shake a stick at, and it's a frankly amazing feeling.

The incredible DJI Avinox M1 motor (delivering 120 Nm of force) – teamed with the 800Wh DJI Avinox battery – offers 5 levels of pedal assist, and while they're all great, Turbo mode will leave you genuinely speechless. Instant torque. It's remarkable.

The motor and battery are wrapped up in a stunning frame with the cleanest welds you'll ever see on an aluminium bike, and bolted on to that, you have the 12-speed Shimano XT/Deore combo drivetrain and Shimano XT 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes. Come rain, shine or snow, those brakes really do stop you. If you're not expecting it, it's almost scary!

The touchscreen HUD is incredibly intuitive and its accompanying app has some great features, including being able to show you the exact route you took while out on your ride!

Our bike of the year award goes to the Garvel Silk 01 which was picked up during the week.

The Silk 01 is such a nice build with Force AXS groupset 1x13 speed and Force XPLR power meter cranks, 303 wheelset completed with carbon bars, stem and seatpost.

We also fitted a essential gravel frame protection kit and customer crank protection to finish the bike off.
