The Kingston & Elmbridge Junior Snorkellers Club

The Kingston & Elmbridge Junior Snorkellers Club A Youth Club for Snorkelling The club is very friendly, exciting and challenging. New junior members always welcome. New Intakes are taken regularly twice a year.

The KEJSC is a youth club that teaches children how to snorkel using the British Sub Aqua Club (Governing body of Diving in UK) Snorkel Training Program. All staff are trained at National Level with the advantage of a National Instructor Trainer on site, are all CRB checked and are specialists in training children in the water environment. It is a great way for your child, who may be ready to move

on from basic swimming lessons, to try something new and interesting. Snorkelling is the best grounding for anyone wanting to learn to scuba dive in later life and can be done by anyone from 8-80 years! Please email the club direct to book onto the waiting list. We look forward to meeting you.

Well Wow! What can I say! That event was truly amazing. The effort put in by everyone was astounding! I am so proud and impressed by every single member who turned up and got stuck in tonight! Out of 35 members who were present, a total of 3059 lengths completed, which is 76,475m which is 2.2 times the distance to swim the English Chanel!

Well done everyone, really impressed!

Massive thanks to Joe and Zoe Theaker for setting this all up and organising everything so that it ran so smoothly.

Exciting news for the staff, who took possession of their new 60th Anniversary uniform last night... The new logo with SMB shaped like a six, a life ring zero and diamonds for bubbles coming out of Stoney Stonefish snorkel, reflecting our long history as the oldest BSAC - British Sub-Aqua Club Snorkelling Club.

Member clothing has been ordered too, so we hope to be showing that off very soon too.

It is Childrens Mental health Week and we are proud to support that ethos! KEJSC fully supports helping children with mental health needs, whether that is providing alternative sporting outlets for neurodivergent students, or helping those dealing with loss, or bullying etc...

HRH The Prince of Wales is supporting the cause also, and the charity Place2Be has released a video today highlighting childrens mental health and we are proud to be featured in the opening credits along with some other snorkelling clubs from around the UK. Its a great honour to be featured in this way and we hope it will highlight the great work that snorkelling clubs and other kids clubs do around the country to support children in need...

Proof our training builds amazing skills and confidence in the water. Poppy does her first ever open water dive, and boat dive in Manolis Bay, Cyprus, and hit her first deep duck dive to 3.4m! All under the watchful eye of her dad and our Dive Officer Nick.
