There’s still time to apply for British Judo’s Diploma in Sporting Excellence (DiSE) programme for students studying in England during the 2026–2027 academic year 🥋

The DiSE programme is a unique qualification designed to help talented young judoka combine their academic studies with high-performance sporting development.

Delivered through five Performance Pathway Centres across England, the programme provides a recognised vocational qualification worth 64 UCAS points, supporting progression into university, employment and careers within sport.

Such sad news! 😢

We are saddened to learn of the passing of Sue Collins, a truly dedicated member of the British Judo family whose impact on our sport spanned more than four decades.

From competition organisation and British Schools Judo to championing adaptive and inclusive opportunities, Sue’s commitment, resilience and passion helped shape the experiences of countless judoka, officials and volunteers.

Our thoughts are with Sue’s family, friends and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Sue's involvement with Judo started when her children took up Judo with Pershore Judo Club in the early 1980’s
