The company is owned by David Johnson, Master Saddle Maker and fitter of 45 years standing. David is a very keen rider himself and understands the needs of the horse and rider. This has been paramount in the design and manufacture of our saddles... combining the very best of modern technology with traditional methods and materials. The Saddle Company is committed to training our saddle fitters to

a very high standard. They have a deep understanding of how our saddles fit and are able to advise riders on the best saddle for them, and their horse. After initial introduction to the Saddle Fitting Training Course, our training and support is comprehensive and ongoing. This continues indefinitely as we develop our product range. Our saddles are built on Tree Tec trees which are designed by The Saddle Company (and come with a ten year guarantee). All of our saddles are adjustable using The Saddle Company Templating Machine. All saddles are made to a template for each individual horse to ensure a precise fit. The saddles can be retemplated and refitted at a later date as your horse changes shape. This can usually be done on site with you and your horse.

Pulled up at the field today and Magic was straight to the gate as always 🐴❤️

Buddy, on the other hand, had much more important things to do… namely finding the perfect spot for a proper roll! 🤣 Nothing says a horse is happy and content quite like throwing themselves on the ground, covering themselves in dirt, and undoing all your hard work.

It’s amazing how one horse says, “Hello, I’ve missed you,” while the other says, “Watch this, I’m going to turn myself into a mud pie.”

Just a couple of horses enjoying life and reminding us why we love them so much. 🥰🐎

Is it really June?! 🌧️☔

Buddy is starting to wonder if summer got lost somewhere along the way! Between the endless rain showers and muddy fields, our summer hacks seem to be on hold for now.

He’s spending his days daydreaming of blue skies, warm sunshine, and getting back out exploring the countryside where he belongs. ☀️🐴

Come on, weather… give us a break! Who else is waiting for the sun to finally make an appearance so we can enjoy some proper summer riding?
