Sat 13th July 2024 - Preseason Friendly - Won 2-6
It is a privilege to be back as the PVC U15 Ladies Warriors with a fantastic group of players with so much potential. They have been working hard on their game to raise standards to be more consistent as we improve our quality of play. There are always teething problems when a team is new, but our squad seems to have overcome most of them. Playing a good side from another league, we conceded early as we tried new things. Errors will always occur as we master the flow but we do encourage bravery. We then got into our groove and produced a first half full of outstanding play with stand-out performances across the park. It is clear to see the work that has been put in to develop our game. Six unanswered goals in rapid succession shocked the opponents as we completely dominated with excellent passages of play. They made adjustments in the second half and defended brilliantly as we ran out of gas a little, leading to no more goals. There's lots of work to do but this was an incredibly impressive first outing and really bodes well for the rest of preseason. We are still looking for a couple of quality additions to complete our squad as we are fully committed to reaching the highest level of play. These definitely are exciting times as we pursue excellence getting Better Stronger Together.
