Wallingford RFC is a thriving rugby club, recognised as Sports Club of the Year in the prestigious Oxfordshire Sports Awards 2008. The 1st XV, having achieved promotion twice in successive seasons in 2006-07 and 2007-08, competes in South West 1 East League.Our 2nd XV has been equally successful, now playing in the Berks Bucks and Oxon Premier A League, also after 2 consecutive years of promotion. The recently formed 3rd XV participates in Berks Bucks and Oxon 2 South League.

We look forward to welcoming our Minis & Juniors and Wallingford Wolves back to the Hithercroft this Sunday for the start of their season.

M&Js (U6-U16) sessions start at 10am, the Wolves at 11am.

New players are always welcome too.

Good news if you want to watch the Boks vs the All Blacks this afternoon and have a wee break from Bunkfest. The game will be shown at Wallingford Sports Park today.

Thank you to Gosford All Blacks RFC who hosted a joint session with the Wallingford Warriors last night.

Both sides will be playing together in the Inner Warrior Series this season.

If you have never played before, or are returning to the game then our Women train om Thursdays (as do Gosford if you're reading this and live over their way) from 7pm. You're guaranteed a warm welcome.

As the campers arrive for Bunkfest the Wallingford Warriors, our Womens side will travelling over to, and training with their friends Gosford All Blacks RFC. Both sides are.joining up for the Inner Warriors Series fixtures this year so this will be the first of a few joint sessions this season.

Training over there starts at 7pm.

Good news, we don't have to worry about the hard ground and pitch inspections for this weeks pre-season friendly versus Oxford RFC as our hosts have moved the fixture to the 4G at Oxford Quins RFC.

We've had lots of queries asking when the M&Js and Wallingford Wolves will be back on Sundays. Well our coaches have a few more weeks to enjoy their off-season. Then it's Bunkfest weekend when the Wallingford Sports Park hosts the campers. However on Sunday the 13th September the wait will be over, and we'll be back!!!!

M&Js will start at 10am, the Wolves at 11am and as always new players will be most welcome.

Dates for the diary, Senior Mens pre-season fixtures:

20th August sees us make the short trip to Oxford RFC. On 27th August we welcome Abbey RFC - Reading Abbey Rugby Club to the Hithercroft.

Both games are scheduled to kick off at 7.30pm.

As always your support on the sideline is welcome (and you'll be ready to watch some decent club Rugby by the end of August.)
