We've had a number of disturbing reports from our followers that the 2 week break we took recently caused distress, alarm, anxiety attacks, twitchiness, melancholy, and other worrying symptoms.
Because the new season doesn't start until 21st September, we can't risk your mental and physical health and wellbeing like that again.
So we've decided to bring you some live coverage of some of the pre-season friendly matches that are taking place between now and then.
Tonight, we're very excited to bring you first looks at both of the brand new teams joining the league for the 26/7 winter season!
Up first, it's fun-loving pub side Splitz & Giggles from Fairmile Sports & Social Club, Morning Star, Cholsey against the Pin Pals. Pin Pals have one squad member who has played a game or two for Maclean Smilers a couple of years ago, otherwise they are all newcomers to the game, and most of them only touched a skittle ball for the first time just a few months ago when they came down to the club to have a go!
After that, it's going to be a feisty one as high-flying ex-rookies Absolutely Skittled take on the club's first all-female skittle team for many years, the Skittles Sisters! The Sisters are helmed by Dawn, formerly of Rollin' Pins. She had so much fun in her first season she decided to form her own team, stealing mum Heather from the Pins roster as well. The rest of the squad are all newbies to the game. Just to add extra spice, Nathan of Absolutely Skittled is Dawn's better half!
