A spotlight on the Islabikes Cnoc16 today. They're suitable for a four to six year old child or an inside leg of 42-52cm approx. I seem to have had a lot bought in as part exchanges this week, many of which I've looked after and sold previously. If you've got 10 children the same size please pop round 😁. Some have lived at Nanny's house, or Mum and Dad have different houses both with bikes at them, either way some are very little used and in fantastic condition. Prices once they're all checked over, serviced, re-cabled and polished will range from around £170-£210 depending on condition. New ones are currently £449 and only available in teal.
I love to see them back again once you've finished with them and need a bigger size, and I try my hardest to give you a fair part exchange value back for them.
There are also a couple of Frog 48(16"wheels)and Squish 16 ready and available to tryout for size.

Happy birthday to us 🎉.
We're now entering our seventh year of serving the local community by offering you all a sustainable method of purchasing premium children's bicycles and returning them when you need the next size up.
Thank you all for your continued custom.
Bikes are heading off daily to excited children from all corners of the country and even heading abroad to Poland.
An extra special thanks to my returning customers, and often their families, friends and neighbours who've seen the lovely bikes they've purchased and bought some too.
All of our bikes are serviced/ refurbished on site by me, a Cytech level 3 Master Technician, I'm not a broker or franchise selling other people's bikes and taking a commission or calling my bikes 'serviced' when nobody with any cycle industry recognised qualifications has been anywhere near them, so you can be sure they're safe and 100% ready to ride.
With over 50 bikes a month going out stock is changing daily so keep an eye on my listings on Facebook Marketplace (search for Nick Southern). I don't have the time or feel the need for any fancy websites or advertising as I have more than enough to do making sure the bikes are fabulous and dealing with the returning purchasers.❤️🚲.

An interesting morning in the workshop servicing and preparing for sale my Thorn Raven Tour expedition/touring bike. The 14 speed sequential Rohloff gearbox had a cleaning fluid added, then a 3k ride, then was drained and new oil added. I added new puncture resistant tyres, new tubes , all new brake levers, arms, shoes and cables, new pedals, new grips, a new saddle, new mudguards, and a 25kg rack. At £1100 it's less than a third of the price of a new one and ready to cross continents.

A different office window today, student's bike repairs today. My fifth year of looking after the staff and students bikes here. I've sold a bike already, and rented one to a visiting student. I do have a stock of beautiful rental bikes, both modern and vintage (and even an ebike or two)if you have family visiting and fancy a bike ride. ❤️🚲.

After nearly getting completely cleared out by you over Easter and begging you for more stock, you've come good and we're back in business 🎉🎊🏆. Thank you all soooo much for emptying your sheds and garages and letting me purchase your bikes. Extra thanks to the part exchangers bringing multiple bikes in and taking multiple bigger bikes.
Thanks to the 'sharers' spreading my posts far and wide, I think most of the children of Didcot, Caversham, Woodcote, Thame, Twyford and beyond are riding my bikes now.
These new ones are all going to take me a couple of hours each to service, replace any parts needed, put the seats back down to a sensible level, clean and polish them, photograph and advertise them, and make sure they're as close to perfect as I can get them, so I'm going to be occupied for a month or two. We're currently making the most of this lovely weather and getting out on our bikes at every opportunity, exploring local byways, tracks and trails, trips to the forest and coast. Being out amongst nature with friends and family is great for your mind, body and soul. Using your bike for local trips saves on fuel and parking costs, and your health benefits from some exercise too. ❤️🚲.

It was a gigantic day yesterday, thirteen hours out of the house at an Oxford University College. Ten bikes were booked in, many more passed by asking for me to pump up their tyres, adjust their brakes/gears, advice given on tyres, stands, baskets. Four adult bikes got sold, one adult bike part exchange taken in, and three cracking Child's Frog bikes purchased, keep an eye out for them on Facebook Marketplace next week, search Nick Southern to see my current listings. Good prices paid for your used Frog, Squish and Islabikes, and they're always welcome as part exchanges for bigger ones. ❤️🚲.

Riding a bike can be more challenging for children with motor co-ordination difficulties (DCD), but help is at hand.
Learn to Ride a Bike are running a free course in Oxford from 3rd – 7th August to help children aged 7 to 16 years of age who have struggled to learn how to ride a two wheeled bike.
