Since launching in 2023, Great Float Youth has continued to grow from strength to strength — creating more teams, more opportunities and more chances for young players to develop, learn and enjoy the game. 🙌

And this season, we’re proud to announce our NEW partnership with DFD Development Football! ⚽️🔥

DFD have a fantastic track record of delivering development sessions that help young players build character, confidence, teamwork and skills — all while making sure the most important thing is never forgotten…

⚽️ PLAYER WANTED! ⚽️

Our Great Float Oakdale U8s are looking for one more committed player to join the team! 🔴⚫️🔵⚪️

The lads currently play in Division 2 of the Eastham League and we’re looking for the final piece of the jigsaw to complete this fantastic squad. 🧩

We’re looking for a player of a similar standard to the level we’re playing at, who is keen to learn, develop and most importantly, enjoy their football. 🙌

The team already has an amazing bunch of lads, fantastic parents and a club that is incredibly supportive of the children’s development both on and off the pitch. ❤️

ISP tournament at the weekend for our new Great Float Gorsedale U7’s.

The kids headed over to Liverpool again to play in a tough competition and the kids absolutely smashed it once again.

Playing some top sides at their own age group they managed to get into the FA Cup route and the lads brought home some more silverware 🏆

Brilliant football from them all and they had fun doing something they love! 🔴⚫️

The countdown is officially on… league football is back! ⚽️

After a fantastic end to last season and a brilliant summer for the club, it’s nearly time to get back out there! 💪

Our youth teams will be representing Great Float Youth across both the Eastham & Wallasey leagues, ready to get stuck in, work together and most importantly enjoy their football. ❤️🖤

Because it’s not just about what happens on the pitch — it’s about playing as a team, enjoying the game with your mates, making new friendships and creating memories that last a lifetime. 🙌

⚽ Join Great Float Youth for the upcoming season! ⚽

We’re looking for committed outfield players to join our Rycroft and Oakdale U11s teams, who play on Sundays in the Wallasey League.

💪 We’re ideally looking for players who are confident playing in Division 1 or Division 2 and are ready for a new challenge.

If your child is looking for a change of club and wants to develop in a positive, supportive, and competitive environment, we’d love to hear from you!

Today, both our Great Float Gorsedale and Oakdale U7s sides entered the Saughall Colts U7s tournament.

Both teams were drawn into different group stages, and they held their own all day!

Oakdale managed to finish second in their group, which meant they progressed to the Top Cup knockout stage. They gave it their all in the semi-final but fell just short, losing narrowly to the eventual Top Cup winners.

Gorsedale qualified for the Middle Cup after the group stages. The lads played some brilliant football in both the semi-final and the final. They absolutely smashed it and won the Middle Cup, adding another trophy ahead of Presentation Day! 👌💪🏆

Another brilliant weekend of tournament football for the club! ❤️

Our Great Float Gorsedale U6s have played two development matches this weekend.

Yesterday, the Gorsedale kids played another very good side in their age group, and it was an end-to-end game. There was some brilliant finishing from both teams, and it ended in a well-deserved draw.

Today’s game saw the kids play another fixture in their summer league. They absolutely smashed it out of the park, playing some brilliant football and securing a very impressive win! 💪👌
