FULL TIME | LUPSET LIONS 1–2 BATLEY JAGUARS

A frustrating afternoon for the Lions.

We went 1–0 up and played well, but unfortunately couldn’t hold on and came away with a 2–1 defeat.

There are plenty of positives to take from today, and that’s what we’ll focus on. The areas we need to improve will now be taken into training as we continue to prepare for the season ahead.

Fitness was definitely our downfall today, but that will come with time, training and more minutes together as a squad.

We’re very proud of the lads who played today and stepped up with players missing through holidays and injuries. Everyone who pulled on the shirt gave their all and represented the club brilliantly.

Well done to Jake Smith, who once again had his shooting boots on and got himself on the scoresheet.

🏆 Referee’s Man of the Match: Ashton another excellent performance between the sticks.

⭐ Manager JT’s Man of the Match: Connor Pitchford a very strong performance during the short period he was on the field.

An unfortunate result, but plenty of positives to take forward.

Thank you to everyone who came down and supported the boys today. It’s hugely appreciated.

We’re hoping for a close and competitive game as the lads continue to progress and prepare with the season now firmly in our sights. Every game is another chance to learn, improve and grow together as a team.
