White Hart FC vs West End Terriers
Final Score: 1 – 2
Last Sunday we returned to home turf to face West End Terriers in a tough league fixture.
Coming into the game under difficult circumstances, with first-choice goalkeeper Khonner Hoyte ruled out for the season through injury, the team showed great character from the start. Ben Laycock stepped in between the posts for the first half, and White Hart began brightly, playing some excellent football and creating early chances but unable to find that crucial first goal.
Despite the strong start, the visitors took the lead in unusual fashion. After a series of blocks and deflections inside the box — including a brilliant goal-line clearance from Jacob Reed — the ball eventually found its way into the net, with an offside decision left unpunished.
Half-time: White Hart FC 0–1 West End Terriers FC
White Hart came out with intent in the second half, continuing to push forward. Jacob Brunt took over in goal, and the pressure soon paid off. A well-worked move saw Harvey Walker set up Jayden Huglin, who finished superbly with a volley into the bottom corner to bring things level.
The game became more scrappy as it went on, with both sides battling for control. White Hart created further opportunities, coming close through Harvey Walker and Riley Wilkinson, while at the other end, Ben Laycock produced a heroic goal-line clearance late on to keep things level.
With just a minute remaining, West End found the winner from a free kick at the back post, leaving White Hart with a tough result to take.

A frustrating result, especially conceding so late, but a strong performance overall with players stepping up out of position and showing real determination throughout. Plenty of positives to take moving forward.
