Just wanted to say a few words about yesterday’s English Masters and what was a really strong day for Langton Green.
First and foremost, massive congratulations to Aaron Skinner, English Masters Champion! A fantastic achievement in probably the strongest domestic field of the year. He had to do it the hard way and thoroughly deserved the title.
Kevin Cordell came incredibly close, reaching the final and eventually losing to Aaron on shots after a 1–1 draw. Another top-class performance and further evidence of the level Kevin continues to play at.
Jamie Warren also had an excellent Masters, competing strongly throughout against the very best players in the country and showing again that he belongs at this level.
And Victor Jones put in another very competitive performance in a seriously tough field. Victor continues to improve and is becoming an increasingly difficult opponent for anyone.
Four Langton Green players amongst England’s elite, all competing well and representing the club brilliantly.
Really proud of what we’re building at Langton. Competitive on the table, mates away from it, and always supporting each other.
