The parkland course is sited on the world’s first nature reserve. Charles Waterton a pioneering Victorian naturalist created the nature reserve in 1820 and he dedicated his life to preserving the local wildlife in this area, and today we still share the park with all manner of wildlife. The golf course was designed by Simon Gidman and opened in 1995. The design cleverly exploits the 200 acres avai

lable, creating a spaciousness not found in many courses set in smaller areas. The par 72 course has been built to extremely high standards with USGA specification greens and tree-lined fairways. The club prides itself on the condition of the course especially its fairways and greens, the greens are in play all year round.

As part of our Captain's Weekend supporting Wakefield Hospice, we're delighted to welcome the fantastic FUEL to Waterton Park Golf Club in Silvertini House on Friday 3rd July!

Joining the band on the night will be our very own Jack Owen, performing live as part of what promises to be a brilliant evening of music, food and entertainment.

Club Captain David Oxley, Ex-Captain Ozzie Malik, Phil Akers Golf, and Jason Taggart teed off at 5:15am this morning as they take on an incredible 4-round golf challenge in support of MND Association

They are aiming to be on the back 9 at around 6:00pm this evening, so please come along and show your support if you can.

The day will be rounded off with a buffet in the clubhouse, followed by the England match.

Good luck to all four golfers, and thank you to everyone supporting this fantastic cause!

🌿⛳ Volunteer Appreciation Post ⛳🌿

A huge thank you to our fantastic volunteer team who, over the past few months, have been working incredibly hard constructing the brand-new fence line alongside the road by the 18th hole.

Although the project is still ongoing, the transformation so far already looks absolutely superb and is adding real character to the area whilst improving the overall appearance of the course. The craftsmanship and attention to detail have been brilliant to see, and the new fencing is quickly becoming a standout feature as players make their way up the 18th.

This has been a tremendous effort from everyone involved, giving up their own time to help improve the club for all members and visitors to enjoy. Projects like this simply would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our volunteers.

Thank you again to everyone who has helped so far. We look forward to seeing the finished result in the coming weeks 👏⛳

We’ve had so many positive comments recently, with many saying the greens are in the best condition they’ve been in for years. 👏

A huge thank you must go to our Head Greenkeeper Stephen McAdams and his greenkeeping team for all of their hard work, dedication, and attention to detail. The course is looking superb and is a real credit to the effort they put in every single day.
