This is what the audience sees.

A photograph that captures the performance.

What we see is everything that came before it.

The hours of rehearsals.
The corrections.
The practice at home.
The moments of frustration.
The tears.
The breakthroughs.
The pride.

This photo is beautiful, but it’s everything behind it that means the most. Every dancer on this stage earned this moment through hard work, resilience and determination, and we couldn’t be prouder.

What 3 words would you use to describe REDACTED?

We’d love to hear them in the comments from cast & audience members.

An audience member asked us to describe the show in just three words. Our answer?

Professional. Epic. Gritty.

What a show! Sometimes it’s difficult to remember that this production was created with children. The standard, commitment and delivery from every single performer was incredible.

“There’s an age gap.”
“They’re separated by age.”
“My child is being held back because of their age.”

Not here.

At The Verge our students spend time with one another and make friendships, age aside. We also believe training should match ability, not birth year.

If your child is 10 and their technical ability, work ethic and performance quality sit comfortably alongside our trained 17-year-olds, that’s where they’ll train if they’re mentally able to cope at that level.

Age alone shouldn’t hold students back.

As long as the choreography and environment are appropriate, why place them anywhere else?

Some children need time. Some children need challenge. Our job is to recognise the difference and create a space where every student can progress at the pace that’s right for them. 🤍

A common misconception at The Verge is that you can only join us if you want a career in dance.

That simply isn’t the case.

Some of our students come for a hobby.
Some come for friendship.
Some come for confidence.
Some come for an escape.

And all of those reasons are equally important.

Will we train you, challenge you and help you improve? Absolutely.

But that doesn’t have to lead to a professional career if that’s not what you want, nor do you have to perform on stage- it’s optional here.

You can come to have fun, learn something new, build lifelong friendships and become a little more confident in yourself along the way and that’s more than enough. 🤍
