Congratulations to Logan Saxton, who played in the Yorkshire Cricket Festival Final today for Heavy Woollen.

Heavy Woollen defeated York in a thrilling match, with Logan entrusted to bowl the final over as York chased victory. He held his nerve brilliantly, claiming the last two wickets to seal the win for his side.

Logan finished with outstanding figures of 5 overs, 3 wickets for 15 runs and played a key role in a great game of cricket.

Well done, Logan! 💚🏏

🔰 Sunday Cricket 🔰

Our 1st XI are playing two T20 games against Townville and Undercliffe today at Undercliffe, with the action getting underway at 10:30am.

The winner of the opening match will play again at 4:30pm, while the loser will face the hosts at 1:30pm.

Our Development Team are at home hosting Colton, with plenty of future stars on show. Play starts at 1pm.

🔰 This Weekend’s Team News 🔰

The First XI are at home today as they take on Woodlands.

After last Sunday’s defeat to the same opposition, the lads will be looking to show a positive reaction and plenty of fighting spirit as they aim to cause an upset against the league’s second-placed side.

The Second XI travel to Northowram Fields in excellent form and will be looking to extend their winning run against a team currently sitting third in the table.

On Sunday, the 1st XI are taking part in the T20 day at Undercliffe where we kick off at 10am vs Townville and play the hosts later in the day.

On Saturday, the Second XI recorded a fantastic five-wicket victory, chasing down 236 to make it three wins in a row.

James Cooper led from the front, agonisingly missing out on a century by just seven runs with a superb, hard-hitting 93.

He was well supported by Nick Busby, who capped an excellent all-round performance by scoring a brilliant 79 after already claiming four wickets in the first innings.

A terrific team effort and another great result for the Seconds. 💚🏏

A massive thank you to Jane for stepping in and covering the cricket teas on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

There were plenty of compliments from players, officials and supporters, all of which were richly deserved.
