A Day to Remember for Young Athletes and Their Families 2026 Wakefield Junior Duathlon ✅🏃🚴‍♀️🏃🏻‍♂️

With an incredible 123 young athletes taking part, the atmosphere was electric from start to finish. The smiles, determination, courage and support on display reminded us exactly why junior multisport is so special.

Parents, athletes and spectators couldn't stop talking about what a fantastic event it was, and the race report from British Triathlon says it all. Most importantly, it showcased what an amazing club and community we have.

If your child has ever thought about giving triathlon a go, this is the event to enter.

Our next Wakefield Junior Triathlon is on 28 June at the same venue, and we'd love to see even more young athletes on the start line.

A huge thank you to our amazing WJTC Events Team, incredible volunteers and supporters — but most importantly to our exceptional young athletes, who gave their all out on the course today. Your effort, determination and sportsmanship were fantastic to see! 👏

We can’t wait for our next event - the Triathlon on 28th June at York Sports Village, part of the Yorkshire Regional Series.
