Coaching

Annie Watson has passed on her gratitude to all those who signed up with her for coaching over the summer break.

She has thoroughly enjoyed being at Wadebridge Tennis Club and has enjoyed the interaction with all of you. Thank you so much for signing up and making her feel welcome.



I understand from a lot of members that you have enjoyed your time on court with Annie, and coaching truly brings people together and offers variety and freshness to the club programme.

It is great to hear about the energy, enthusiasm and enjoyment from both Annie and members that were part of the sessions.



Coach Dek

Is running a mini tennis programme that is attracting a lot of interest for players aged 10 and under on Saturday mornings.



I continue to run sessions for juniors and adults, including a junior academy on Thursdays and Saturdays.



India Rojanno

India will be joining the coaches at Wadebridge Tennis Club, and initially she will start the autumn term with school visits, with the aim of running additional mini tennis sessions on a Thursday alongside me and the junior academy.



The objective is to increase participation in mini tennis so that we have players at a younger age, which gives coaches more development time before they join me as junior tennis players.



I am hoping India will have a little extra time in addition to this to run sessions that will benefit all members at Wadebridge Tennis Club



Do not hesitate to contact any of our coaches for lessons as we look to increase opportunities for all.

Pickleball Sessions at Wadebridge Tennis Club

September:

Saturday 5th 1.30pm – 3.30pm
Sunday 13th 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Sunday 20th 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Saturday 26th 1.30pm – 3.30pm

October:

Sunday 4th 2.30pm – 4.30pm
Saturday 10th 1.30pm – 3.30pm

Please never feel that you need to play for the whole 2 hours in a session.

Chris also organises a pickleball session on Thursday mornings 9.30am – 11.30am at the tennis club, these will continue outside at the tennis club as long as it’s the right weather conditions.

From Sunday 18th October Pickleball will be back at Wadebridge Leisure Centre, there will be a fee for these sessions as we are hiring the courts from the leisure centre. These sessions will be Sunday sessions 12.00 – 2.00pm. We will still put a poll up on the WhatsApp group each week so that we know who is playing.

There is also potential to play on Saturday’s 2.00pm – 4.00pm at Wadebridge Leisure Centre for those players who can’t make a Sunday.

Non tennis club members can join in with the sessions.

🎾🔥 WOW… Day 1 of the County Champs 2026 did NOT disappoint! 🔥🎾

But the highlight of the day had to be our first-ever Junior & Adult competition! What an afternoon of fun, laughter and some fantastic tennis. Matt and Lilia Trudgeon came out on top, beating Erik and Fenna Dirkx in a brilliant final! 🎾👏

⭐ Stars of the day: Yasmina Wight and Otto Campos Trolle, who absolutely left it all court.
