NTS Team – Head Coach Opportunity

Waddesdon Touch is establishing a new Mixed Open team (18+) to compete in the National Touch Series (NTS) and is seeking a Head Coach to lead the development of the programme.

We are looking for an experienced coach who can help build a committed squad, establish a positive team culture and develop the playing standards required to compete at NTS level.

The successful candidate will have Touch coaching experience and a passion for developing players within a structured training environment. An England Touch coaching qualification (or willingness to undertake) is expected as part of the role.

The Head Coach will play a key role in shaping the team’s style of play, delivering effective training sessions and supporting the development of players as we build towards NTS competition.

This is an opportunity to be involved from the start of an ambitious new Waddesdon Touch programme.

🏆 SUMMER COMPETITION CHAMPIONS! 🏆

What a night for Waddesdon Touch Rugby Club!

We’re delighted to say that Waddesdon are the Aylesbury Summer Competition Champions! After a fantastic evening of touch rugby, the team showed incredible determination, teamwork and resilience to come away with the title.

Every single player gave everything on the pitch, supporting each other from the first whistle to the last. This win is a testament to the hard work that’s gone in all season and the brilliant team spirit that makes this club so special.

A huge thank you to everyone who organised the competition, the referees, our supporters, and of course all the teams who made it such a great evening of rugby.

Champions today, but back to work tomorrow! 💪

We’ve had some lovely feedback recently about the club, especially around how welcoming, friendly and supportive our community is. It really means a lot to hear that this is what people experience when they join us.

A couple of comments that perfectly capture what we’re all about:

“I love the real supportive vibes of the touch club. I mean rugby in general I’ve always found supportive but your group is great”

“Honestly. The way that there are players of every age every size and ability just playing together and making me feel so welcome is amazing”

That’s exactly what we want Waddesdon Touch Rugby Club to be, a place where everyone can come along, get involved, have fun and feel part of the team, regardless of age, size or ability.

❤️ A massive thank you to ScoutMed for generously donating AEDs to Waddesdon Touch! Your support is helping to make our club a safer place for everyone.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our amazing club sponsor, Fernanda, from Lake Training and ScoutMed, for delivering excellent Basic Life Support (BLS) and AED training to our players. The confidence and skills gained could one day help save a life.

In sport, every second counts. Cardiac emergencies can happen to anyone, at any time, and knowing how to recognise an emergency, start CPR and use an AED can make all the difference.

We’d encourage every player, coach, volunteer, parent and supporter to learn BLS and how to use an AED. These are simple skills that anyone can learn, and they have the power to save lives.

What a fantastic way to finish the Summer In 2 Touch Rugby Tournament! 💙🏉

We’re incredibly proud to finish 2nd in the Oxford In2Touch League after a hard-fought final against Oxford. It was a brilliant game, with both teams giving everything, and despite going down 8–6, the effort, teamwork and determination shown by everyone was outstanding.

A huge well done to every player who represented the team throughout the season. You should all be proud of what we’ve achieved together. Congratulations to Oxford on a great final and a well-deserved win.

Today the team venture to the deep depths of Oxfordshire for the annual Wallingford touch tournament.

Starting off with a run of three wins to win the pool, against some tough opposition, we progressed through to the semi finals.

A narrow 3-2 loss after extra time and dropping of players until a winning try came about.
The heat and extra minutes played in the semi final took its toll in the 3rd place play-off where we lost 5-2 against a team who had enough players for three teams!

4th place on the day out of 8 teams in the tournament was a fair result given the summer weather conditions.

A thoroughly enjoyable day played in good spirits with a great team of people.

With one week of the regular season remaining, Waddesdon Warriors sit proudly at the top of the Aylesbury RFC Summer Touch League table! 👏

It’s been a brilliant effort from everyone involved this summer, with great rugby, plenty of laughs and an outstanding team spirit helping us to the summit of the league standings.

Whatever happens in the final week, the squad has put together a season to be proud of and we’re looking forward to finishing strongly and heading into the Cup competition with momentum behind us.

We’re always looking to welcome new players to the Warriors family. Whether you’re an experienced rugby player, new to the game, or just looking to keep fit and have fun over the summer, all are welcome regardless of age, experience or ability.
