We’re looking for new players to join our friendly and welcoming Girls U15s team for next season!

The team recently finished 4th in the IOW Sunday Mixed League and is heading into its third season of mixed football. We have a fantastic group of girls who love playing, developing their skills, and being part of a supportive team environment.

Whether you’re already playing football on Saturdays and would like to add additional game time with a Sunday team, or you’re simply looking for a new challenge, we’d love to hear from you.

Congratulations to our U14 Valkyries who finished 3rd in this morning’s Wight Eagles tournament!! After progressing to the semi finals via penalty shoot out against Wight Eagles Blacks they battled hard in the heat against Wight Eagles Purple, eventually losing 1-0 to a goal swung in directly from a corner which was literally the last kick of the game. The 3rd/4th play off saw the girls take on Newport with the eventual score being 3-0 to the Valkyries. Well done to all the girls on some awesome football and thanks to our friends at Wight Eagles for a brilliant, well organised day

A special shout out also to Macey, Remy, Lucia, Grace and Neve who stepped up to help out today. You were all fantastic 💛🥉💙

And lastly but my no means leastly a massive thank you to all our volunteers, without whom we simply could not pull off events like these. The entire set up and pack down crew, to Charlie for marking the pitches, to Nicola, Dan, Ria and the catering crew for standing in a kitchen on such a sweltering weekend, to Asiya and the rugby club for manning the bar, to Sandown & Lake Football Club for lending us additional goals, to Niton Primary school for lending us their radios, to Martin for designing our awesome event programmes, to the tuck shop volunteers, to Pete, Jen, Sarah and Jess for collating the scores and tournament schedules, to Cafe Isola for assisting with the catering logistics, to Steve, Dan, Rich, Chris and Ross for doing such an excellent job getting all the cars parked, to Sarah for the smooth running of the presentations and everyone else who pitched in and helped in the many, many months of planning. We are incredibly grateful for everything you have done and continue to do for our awesome Ventnor Youth FC family 💛💙
