✨💗 What a girl! Evie — 7 years old and Advanced Medium Music winner! 💗✨

Today feels like a very special milestone. Evie has just won her first Advanced Medium Music class on just short of 70%, and I couldn’t be prouder of her. 🥰

I bought Evie as a yearling from my friend
Craig Neil Millard who bred her, at a time when I was very ill and genuinely thought I might never ride again. I bought her with no idea what the future would hold, just hoping that one day we might have the chance to enjoy the journey together.

Six years later, to see that little yearling now winning at Advanced Medium is pretty incredible. ❤️

Her music was specially composed for us by Chris Lever, and I absolutely love how perfectly it suits Evie. 🎶❤️

We’ve been so lucky to have the support of Richard Davison, along with Giorgia Kolias, Charlotte Wittbom Classical Dressage for her in-hand work and Rachel Greetham keeping Evie feeling at her best.

There is still so much more I want to achieve with this very special mare, but today I’m just going to enjoy this moment and be proud of how far we have come.

From a little yearling I bought at a very difficult time in my life, to an Advanced Medium winner. What a journey. ❤️🐴✨

💙 Welcome to Denstone Stud, Axel! 💙

Axel has arrived and has settled straight in, enjoying the field with his new friend Tino. 🐴🥰

A huge thank you to Erica at Greatwood Stud for trusting me to have this lovely young horse. I’m so excited to have him here and to see how he develops over the coming years.

There’s also a lovely family connection for me, as Axel’s grandfather, Escamillo is Evie’s dad — so it’s very special to have a little link between the two of them. 💕🐴

Here’s to the start of a very exciting journey with this special boy! 💙

A lovely day with Evie 💕🐴

First competition since May for Evie today at BD Newbold Verdon, and what a lovely return!

We’ve spent the summer focusing on her training, building strength and confidence, and giving her plenty of variety in her work. Today it really felt like that preparation was starting to come together.

She was so happy and relaxed from the moment we arrived, working in such a lovely, harmonious way — and to come away with wins in both Medium Gold classes made it even more special. 🥇🥇

Really proud of her and the way she is developing. It’s so rewarding when the hard work at home translates into such a positive feeling in the arena.

It was a pleasure to host our demonstration on Saturday, here at Denstone Stud, with our horses at different stages of their Dressage training.

Throughout the session, we explored how movements are developed and trained through the levels, as well as looking at how to prepare for and ride them successfully in competition.

It was particularly enjoyable to involve our audience throughout the demonstration, with some excellent questions and discussion around training, preparation, riding the movements and moving up through the levels.

A special thank you to Felicity Scott for joining us and sharing her valuable insight from both the judge’s and the coaches perspective. Bringing together the training and breaking down the movements, made for a really interesting and informative session. Felicity Scott brings a wealth of knowledge from her experience as a List 1 Judge & Grand Prix rider.

Thank you to everyone who attended, and to Imogen Moon for capturing the afternoon so beautifully.

It was a pleasure to share some of the details behind the training process, and we look forward to other educational demonstrations in the future.
