Baby to Preschool Gymnastics
Classes
8 weeks to Walking – Parent & Baby (Fun 4 babies)
Baby gymnastics will provide a sound for baby’s natural physical development. Why take chances with children’s future strength, flexibility, balance, posture, orientation, locomotion and co-ordination when they can, through the good habit of exercising and playing with their child naturally, ensure that he or
she will have these physical attributes. Baby gymnastics guiles the baby’s body towards its healthy development. Walking – 3yrs Parent & Toddler
A 45 minute free flow session of climbing, balancing, crawling, jumping, bouncing and rolling. Songs and games to cool down and relax at the end of the session.
3yrs – 5yrs – Independent Class
The children warm up for the session through the use of games that stimulate the body and imagination. A more technical class dealing with body shapes, good jumping and landing and other techniques intended to provide a solid foundation for the next steps of gymnastics. The lessons are designed for children from walking to 5 years; the activities will help children to learn basic movement skills with the experience of managing their bodies, and incorporates the pleasure of moving and listening to music. Pre-school Gymnastics develops co-ordination, balance, movement skills and confidence in a fun gymnastics environment! The main aim of my programme is for children to learn that movement and activity is fun and enjoyable. General Gymnastics is the discipline we most closely associate with "traditional" gymnastics skills. It provides a valuable strengthening exercise for many of the muscle groups as well as the benefits of stretching and flexibility. There is no competitive element to this discipline; however there are often displays and performances which show off the gymnasts' ability and hard work. Many people also find that General Gymnastics is a route into other more specialised disciplines such as Artistic Gymnastics or Trampoline Gymnastics. The possibilities are endless. The children will work towards the British Gymnastics Proficiency Awards. Women’s Artistic Gymnastic
