Abbie and Amy (Seagry Firstamour), whom we jointly own, have just arrived home from a great CDI show at Wellington. They contested the CDI Small Tour as one of 32 entries. In the PSG on Friday they did a beautiful test to score 67.696% for a very close 7th place. We were thrilled by the performance and result. They looked amazing, so balanced, focused and accurate...not to mention gorgeous. Today it was the Inter1 and their test suffered from a few mistakes in the canter work. Overall the judges scoring of their test varied significantly. Two judges had them on very similar scores but one was almost 4% lower than the highest. We only found out later that Amy had bitten the inside of her cheek. Thankfully there was no blood so the vets judged it as a very minor injury and not an issue. Amy now has a well earned week off whilst Abbie suns herself in the Mediterranean. A just reward for a great job! Huge thanks to Bex for holding fort whilst we were away.

Abbie and Amy (Seagry Firstamour) took a memorable step on Wednesday when they did there first ever Inter II. I am so proud of how far they have come together and what an amazing bond they have. Even with a little 'misunderstanding' in the 1's they scored an excellent 66% with a whole raft of 7+ scores. Knowing how they are working at home, it is really clear that they still have lots more to come. A real class act!!!!

Back from a wonderful weekend at Addington Premier League. My heart is bursting with pride over Abbie and our two amazing horses. We took both mother (Amy), and Son (Roy) to contest 4 Small Tour classes. The weather was glorious and under Abbie's expert guidance, both horse performed out of their skins. On Saturday Roy came 5th in a huge PSG class of 32 entries and then Amy not to be outdone by her son, came 3rd in a hotly contested Inter1 with 24 entries. In the process she gained her coveted CDI qualifying score of over 68.5%. On Sunday Abbie contested the Inter1 with both horses. Roy again finishing 5th with 68.6% closely followed by Amy in 9th on 67.4%. Huge thanks to our wonderful support crew of Gillian Newbury for endless help at the show and Bex (Rebecca Howard) for prepping everything and the weeks of work she has put in to have both horses in tip top condition....Boy what shiny coats!!!! The next outing is with both horses having been selected for the new Hickstead CDI. We are so excited that Abbie and her duo are contesting their first ever CDI Small Tour!!!

Seagry Viceroy and Abbie are Reserve Winter National Champions in the Inter1 Silver. They did a beautiful test yesterday with one very small, but costly, blip in the second pirouette (double marker) to score 68.9%. There is always a 'if only!' but if he had scored the same for the second pirouette as he scored for the first he would have earned 70.86% which would have been enough for the title..."C'est la vie". He is truly amazing for a very young 8 year old and the youngest in the class. We are off back to Addington for the Premier league show this Friday to do a PSG and another Inter1. Now for a BIT OF BREAKING NEWS..... ABBIE AND ROY HAVE BEEN SELECTED TO FLY THE FLAG 🇬🇧 IN THE HICKSTEAD CDI SMALL TOUR on the 13th to 15th May 👏👏👏

Our New Regional Champions at Inter 1 Silver. Abbie and our amazing rising 8 year old, Roy were at the Little Mills Regionals this weekend and have qualified for the Winter nationals in a few weeks time. Exciting time ahead. Big Thanks to Gill Newbury for all the help at the show and Bex for helping with all the prep and looking after the gang in our absence.

Abbie and the incredible 7 year old Roy (Seagry Viceroy) were at West Wilts EC today where they contested their 3rd EVER Inter 1 and performed a faultless test with two excellent rows of 2 and 3 times changes to score 68.97%. Together they just make it look effortless 😃
