CLOSURE OF GYMTASTIC BROXBURN
Dear Members and Families,
It is with a very heavy heart that we write to inform you that Gymtastic Broxburn will close on Saturday 25th July.
We know this news will come as a disappointment to many of our gymnasts and their families, and we want to assure you that this decision has been one of the most difficult we have ever had to make. Over recent months, we have carefully explored every possible option to keep the club operating. Unfortunately, the membership at Broxburn is no longer large enough to cover the increasing costs of running the facility, particularly rising business rates and VAT commitments.
At the same time, we have the opportunity to expand our facility in Bathgate, where operating costs, including rent, are lower. Consolidating our operations into a larger Bathgate facility will allow us to reduce overheads, invest in the future of the club, and continue providing high-quality gymnastics opportunities for our members. Gymtastic Bathgate is located in Whiteside Industrial Estate, Factory Road, Bathgate, EH48 2RX. While closing Broxburn is incredibly sad, making this decision now will help secure the long-term future of Gymtastic and ensure the club remains sustainable for many years to come.
We are committed to supporting our Broxburn members through the transition to our Bathgate facility. Our Bathgate timetable has sufficient capacity to accommodate all existing Broxburn members who wish to continue with us. While it may not always be possible to offer the same class day and time currently attended at Broxburn, there are a range of alternative classes available within our Bathgate programme, and all current members will be given priority access before any places are offered to new members.
To help us plan this move, we have created an online form where you can let us know whether your child would like to transfer to Bathgate and select your preferred class, or alternatively inform us if you have decided not to continue. To help with our planning, we kindly ask that all members complete the online form by Friday 26th June.

For members who choose to continue with us, we ask that you continue making your usual top-up payments, as any remaining sessions will be carried over and honoured at our Bathgate facility.
We fully appreciate that travelling to Bathgate will not be practical for every family. For those who would like to continue attending classes at Broxburn until we close but do not wish to transfer afterwards, we will be offering a pay-as-you-go option, allowing sessions to be booked one session at a time until Saturday 25th July.
Any refunds due following the closure will, of course, be arranged and processed.
Gymtastic Broxburn has been home to so many wonderful gymnasts, friendships, achievements and memories over the years. We are incredibly grateful for the support, trust and loyalty that our members and families have shown us. The community that has been built at Broxburn means a great deal to all of our coaches and staff, and we will be genuinely saddened to say goodbye to any families who are unable to continue with us at Bathgate.
Thank you for your understanding and support during this difficult time. We know this news will be upsetting for many, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work through the transition. This decision has not been made lightly, but we firmly believe it is the right one to protect the future of Gymtastic and allow the club to continue growing and supporting gymnasts for years to come.
