📢 Strategy #5 - "Be Their Safe Space"
Anxious teens don’t always need advice or for you to try and fix things. Sometimes, they just need to feel safe. 💙
Instead of saying:
❌ "You’ll be fine."
❌ "It’s not a big deal."
Try this:
✅ "I hear you."
✅ "That sounds really tough. I’m here to help."
Validation = Connection = Trust. When your teen feels emotionally safe, they’re more likely to open up—and less likely to shut down.
