📸 MATCHDAY PHOTOGRAPHY | STEVE BETTS PHOTOGRAPHY 📸

A massive thank you to Steve Betts photography for braving the wet and windy conditions yesterday to capture the action from our away fixture against Thornensians RUFC! 👏🌧️

Despite the challenging weather, Steve has done a fantastic job of capturing the intensity, commitment and passion of the game. Rugby is tough enough without standing on the sidelines in the rain with a camera! 😂🏉

Photography plays a brilliant role in grassroots sport, capturing the tackles, tries, celebrations and those moments that make matchdays memorable for players and supporters alike.

We're grateful to Steve for taking the time to capture the action and sharing his work with the rugby community.

Please take a look through the photos and show Steve some appreciation for his efforts. Great work, even in the worst of the British weather! 👏

🏉 FULL TIME | THORNENSIANS 36 – 17 WORTLEY RUFC 🏉

A tough afternoon on the road for the Wortley Warriors as we fell to a 36–17 defeat against Thornensians.

Wet, windy and challenging conditions made for a difficult game, but the lads never stopped battling and gave everything they had for the green, black and white. 💚

Credit to Thornensians, who put in a strong performance and took their opportunities well. We wish them all the best for the rest of the season.

For Wortley, there are lessons to take away from today, but also plenty of positives in the commitment, effort and determination shown by the squad. Rugby doesn't always go your way, and it's how you respond to these challenges that matters. We'll take what we've learned back to training, work hard, and come back stronger.

A massive thank you to everyone who travelled to support the lads, our volunteers who keep the club running, and our sponsors whose continued backing means so much to Wortley RUFC.

Win, lose or draw, we stand together as a club. 💚🖤

Heads up, Warriors. We'll go again!

🏉 FULL TIME: Goole 2nds 39 – 12 Wortley RUFC 🏉

Not the result we were hoping for yesterday, as the Warriors go down 39–12 away at Goole.

Credit to Goole, who were a strong side with plenty of pace and the benefit of having replacements available to keep their players fresh. They made the most of their opportunities and gave us plenty to think about.

For our lads, there are lessons to take away and things to work on in training. We'll regroup, learn from the experience, and come back ready to go again. 💪

A massive thank you to our sponsors for their continued support. Your backing means so much to our club and helps us keep moving forward.

Thank you to everyone who travelled to support the boys yesterday. Whether you're on the touchline home or away, your support never goes unnoticed. 💚🖤

Finally, thank you to Goole 2nds for hosting us and for the contest. We wish you all the best for the rest of the season.

Win, lose or draw, we stick together. We'll learn, we'll work hard, and we'll go again.
