This framing job is completely inoffensive.

You don’t need to like the frame or the mount because they don’t really matter to the image, the purpose was to get it on the wall with as little distraction by the frame as possible.

I’m hoping it worked. Something when I look back all I see is the frame, but then most of the time I just see the image.

I guess it depends on the viewers mood and what they actually want to see first.

Either way I call it “framing from the insides outs, start with the image and end with the frame.

Exhibit a)
black walnut sanded down twice and then finished in a clear bison wax by Liberon.
Also harnessing a double aperture mount to display the original drawing and its information.
Hayseed top mount with a moussaka inner. Sounds, and looks delicious.
Exhibit b)
A 15mm open grain frame finished in raspberry colouring. Harnessing a stretched to frame tote bag, believe it or believe it not.
Top mount a very cosy vellum by Larson Juhl, with a football red inner.
Two be try different styles of framing, but both right depending on choice and style.

It doesn’t really matter how it’s framed so long as you like it that way

Floated, mounted or straight to frame

What matters is that the artwork is looked after and preserved for future generations
