Remember our seam sealing survey? 80% of you voted YES to sealing your own tent. 🙌

Today I’m saving one of my first backpacking tents and removing all the ageing seam tape before resealing it… this pile says it all. 😅

This is exactly why we chose not to rely on seam tape for our tents.

Our sil/sil poly fabric is coated with silicone instead of of pu coating that can break down over time. That means there’s no seam tape to peel away.

We’re also using AMANN swelling thread. When it gets wet, the thread expands and helps seal the tiny holes made by sewing.

Every Jotunheim 2P+ will come with seam sealant included, so you can easily add that extra protection to the seams.

Simple, durable and built for the long run. ⛺

Who’s ready for a 3-Season+ inner? 👀

We’re actively working on a new inner design with a much bigger mesh door, using durable mesh and highly breathable 10D solid fabric.

The idea is simple: open it up for amazing views and maximum ventilation, or close the mesh off with a solid fabric panel when the weather turns colder or windier.

One inner, much more flexibility. ⛺️

Prototype Update: Smarter Guylines

Another small upgrade! After a great suggestion from one of you via email, we’ve added a small elastic cord and toggle to every guyline, keeping them neatly bundled when not in use and helping to prevent tangles during setup.

We also switched from black to yellow reflective 2 mm Dyneema guylines after tripping over the black ones a few times during testing. The extra visibility is a simple but worthwhile safety improvement.

Our tent includes 10 guylines as standard (included in the listed weight), and your survey made it clear that 2 mm Dyneema was the favourite. They’re lightweight, incredibly strong, reliable, and easy to spot in camp.

Some places simply stay with you.
We had an unforgettable time hiking through Jotunheimen National Park, Norway. Every day brought something new from glaciers and turquoise alpine lakes to remote mountain camps and incredible views. The landscapes were truly out of this world, and we enjoyed every single step of the journey.

If you could wake up anywhere, would it be here? 🇳🇴 We’ve just wrapped up another round of real-world testing in Norway, putting our latest tent updates through everything the mountains could throw at us. First impressions from our 8 day Jotunheimen traverse ❄️🌞 we had most beautiful weather followed by the most freezing nights near glaciers above 2000 meters 🙏
