🌡️ Please Don’t Risk It 🐾
With temperatures climbing, I need to be very clear:
If you have any concerns at all about travelling to your appointment in this extreme heat, please cancel it.
My grooming room is air conditioned and kept cool throughout the day, but for many pets the biggest challenge isn’t the groom itself—it’s the journey, the car, the excitement, the stress and the heat before they even arrive.
Heat stress can develop quickly, and when you add travel, anxiety or grooming into the mix, you are increasing the risk to your pet.
No groom is worth that risk.
For this reason, I will not charge a cancellation fee for appointments cancelled due to extreme weather. Yes, that affects me financially, but I’d much rather lose an appointment than see a pet become unwell. I’ll simply use the time to catch up on the endless admin that comes with running a business!
As many of you know, I work holistically. My focus has never been simply on achieving a groomed appearance. Your pet’s physical and emotional wellbeing always comes first, and during periods of extreme heat that principle becomes even more important.
Please don’t feel pressured to keep an appointment because you’re worried about letting me down or because you’ve been waiting for a slot.
I will do my best to reschedule cancelled appointments as soon as possible, but please understand that this may not be immediately and I cannot guarantee a replacement appointment straight away.
Your pet’s welfare comes first. Every single time.
There will be cooler days. There will be other appointments.
Please use common sense, make sensible decisions, and don’t take unnecessary risks.
