In a successful weekend for our women’s section the reserves also brought home 3 points after their away fixture vs Coed Eva.
Last season the reserves managed to get all 6 points from both fixtures, so they were heading into this game with confidence!
An early goal for Amber Edward’s - new to the women’s game at freshly 16 - followed shortly by a strike from Gemma Brittan had the reserves ahead.
Coed Eva did not back down, and managed to get 2 back before the half ended.
2 late goals from Meg O’Shaugnessy brought the lead back for the reserves, and secured the win in their first group stage game of the season!

Player of the match for yesterdays performance vs Penclawdd goes to Amelie Ford.
Amelie was a solid work horse in what was always going to be a tough game.
Despite starting the game at Centre Back Amelie eventually found herself on the score sheet in the 72’ minute, on her league debut.
She was impossible to deal with for Penclawdd - what a start in red and black for Amelie 🔴⚫️

Our first game in the SWWGL Combined League sees us travel home with all three points after our away fixture vs Penclawdd.
