Huge thanks to the Derbyshire girls and ladies football league for having us for the last few seasons. The games have always been competitive and played with good sportsmanship throughout,. We would like to wish everyone involved, good luck in the new season. We now look forward to a new challenge over the border and playing our football in the Notts girls and ladies football league 2014-15.

A snow covered Bracken Park resulted in our home game being switched and played away at league leaders Draycott Victoria. The team pulled off a much improved performance, and at times we frustrated the opposition as we made it difficult for them by being compact, the back-line along with goalkeeper Chloe remaining strong and mentally switched on throughout the full 90 minutes. It wasn't all defending as we created a number of good goal scoring chances as Lucy, Aimee, Caitlin and Loren all went close. Player of the match was awarded to Chloe who pulled off some terrific saves as well as improving with her ball distribution. FT 0-2

A brace and an outstanding individual performance from Niamh this Sunday v Draycott earned her the player of the match. A lofted free kick into the far top corner early in the second period followed by coolly taken penalty drilled into the bottom corner brought the game back to 2-3. Unfortunately late on as we went looking for the equaliser the visitors increased their lead to take all the points.

A fun packed Sunday morning FA Weetabix Wildcat session saw Courteney Csomor of Barnsley Women FC pop along to inspire and encourage the young girls. The sessions are every Sunday morning 10 - 11am at Underwood Villa FC Bracken Park NG16 5FG.
Girls 5 - 11 years are welcome to join in with the fun.

Despite the result the other week at home v Borrowash, there were lots of positives. Going into the break all square and remaining competitive until the final 10 minutes. A penalty kick from Caitlin and a cheeky lob from Laura with Emma collecting the player of the match award.

Not the result we wanted but never the less an outstanding team performance. Trailing by two goals the team dug deep and with a well worked goal and a fine finish from Laura the team began to play the remainder of the game with self belief and purpose. The equaliser soon came from the player of the match Aimee, who rose above everyone else to head the ball into the top corner. Despite camping in the oppositions half for most of the second period we just couldn't find the back of the net. Lots of positives and if we can build on this performance, then the results will follow.

Happy Birthday to our goalkeeper Chloe, its been a great journey, enjoy your day.

Chloe started playing her football for Watford under 9s, then in her secondary school she attended a goalkeeping training academy and went onto play for several teams in Watford as well as the Hertfordshire County Schools FA. In 2010 Chloe played in the FA National Youth Futsal Finals where they reached the grand final.

At the age of 16 she moved to Derby and played for her college team as well as Derby County and then Little Eaton where they won the League Challenge Cup twice. After a brief spell at Hilton Harriers she was offered a place by her current manager at Notts County, Chloe went on to win the clubs Peter Shilton goalkeeping award. She went on to play for Eastwood, Ilkeston and had a remarkable season at Heanor by winning both the League and Cup competition.

Chloe's biggest honour was in 2015 when she was awarded the National Award for the FA Just Play Futsal Player of the Year, she travelled to London to collect the award along with a signed framed England Football Shirt which now holds pride of place on her bedroom wall!
