Seascape Expeditions, Ullapool We are based in Ullapool and offer exciting boat trips to The Summer Isles, The Minch & Loch Broom. Incredible wildlife and wonderful coastal scenery.

Come and join us! Welcome to Seascape Expeditions. We are based in Ullapool and visit The Summer Isles, The Minch and Loch Broom offering daily tours, trips to Isle Martin and private trips, excursions and charters. All weather clothing is provided and we are certified to MCA Code of Practice and is fully equipped with the latest safety equipment and electronics. Safe fun adventures on the coast of the Highlands. Currently we offer The Whale & Dolphin Watch (3-hours), The Summer Isles (2-hr) and The Loch Broom & Isle Martin tour (1-hr). Further information, up-to-date times and prices are available on our website, www.sea-scape.co.uk, and we welcome dogs on our boat. A full commentary is provided throughout the trip and the local guide has a fantastic knowledge on both wildlife and this area; questions are encouraged. Come along to see Ullapool's beautiful sites and wildlife and you are almost guaranteed to learn something you never knew before!

Surviving the Deadliest Islands that are Forbidden to Visit!

A good time was had by all and the 30 minute film featuring 4 locations has now been released for public enjoyment. Below is the link directly to the resulting 5 minute (or so) clip of their time on Gruinard.

(Rest assured that no animals were harmed in the making of this film but a certain expired sheep from Strathkanaird might have been surprised to learn of her starring role …)

So good to see Nell, the humpback yesterday afternoon and evening. It’s lovely that she’s come back to the area where we first saw her 2 years ago even if she was quiet and didn’t treat either of the boatloads to a glimpse of her tail!
Such a beautiful evening to be out on the water too - a sky that went on for forever and lots of minke whales and dolphins all around the rafts of seabirds. Just magical.

The change in the sea conditions out in The Minch brought lots of minke whale sightings today, both in the morning and the afternoon.  Plus pods of dolphins almost everywhere we looked!  Cue happy boatloads and smiling crew 🤩🥳

A young sea eagle, one of this year’s chicks, certainly has the majestic air expected of these magnificent birds.  Her disdainful dismissal of our morning boatload today was perfect! 😍

The last two days have been pretty wild weather-wise out on the water but there have been plenty intrepid individuals up for the challenge. And the boatload yesterday afternoon was rewarded for its efforts with a small pod of common dolphins. 🥳
