Reeceβs Review -
A 4β0 loss this evening, and on an individual game basis, we were humbled.
We actually started brightly, created a couple of really good chances and should have finished at least two of them. Not taking those opportunities brought on a period of dominance from the opposition, and during that spell we were far below the levels I know this group can reach β regardless of the fact our place in the relegation zone is confirmed.
Iβll give the boys credit for the spirit they showed in the final 20 minutes. They dug in, created more in that spell than in the rest of the game, but at 4β0 down it was too late, and ultimately we couldnβt find a goal.
This has to be a learning point for the group. It has to be motivation going into the final two games β both at home β to give our loyal supporters something back for everything theyβve given us this season. Itβs been a year of heartbreak for everyone involved at the club, and we feel that deeply.
From all of us, we are sorry.
But we will keep working, keep fighting, and finish this season with pride.
