Regrettably, we have made the difficult decision that we will no longer be running a youth team this season.



Despite initially having good numbers and being in a positive position for the season ahead, a number of players took the decision to move clubs, which unfortunately has made it impossible for us to continue with a viable squad.



What is particularly disappointing is that this is likely to result in some players leaving rugby altogether. This goes against everything we as a club and as a rugby community in Wales should be trying to achieve- getting more young people playing rugby and keeping them involved in the game.



We are proud at having brought many of this team through our junior section and our values as a club will not change. We will continue to focus on building our mini and junior section and promoting rugby as an inclusive game for all.



We believe the priority across Welsh rugby should be to grow the game, support junior sections and create sustainable teams where as many young people as possible have the opportunity to play. This is far more preferable to teams actively competing for existing players in a rapidly decreasing pool of current players.



We genuinely wish every player leaving Tycroes nothing but the very best for the future. It has been a pleasure to have you represent our club over the years, and you will always be welcome back.



Thank you to everyone who has supported this team, particularly the coaches, volunteers, parents, players and sponsors who have given so much of their time over the years.



We are incredibly proud of every player who has represented Tycroes and contributed to the team. We wish you all the very best and look forward to seeing how you continue to progress, both on and off the pitch.
