Please join us for the final swim of the season! **Raffle, home-made cakes & refreshments **

Dear Members

Please join us this Saturday 12th September 10am to 12pm for the final swim of the season. The weather forecast is sunny and warm so please come down to the pool and make the most of the late summer sunshine!

There will be a raffle, home made cakes and a selection of refreshments available for you to enjoy. This session is now available on Eventbrite, so book your space to enjoy one last dip in the pool before we close for the winter! Alternatively please pop down on the day to purchase a raffle ticket or a delicious home made cake. There is no additional cost for this event.

We have a selection of prizes on offer that have been generously donated by our wonderful local businesses.
A heart-felt 'thank you' to all of them!

All proceeds will go towards the upkeep of the pool. In particular, re-seeding the grassed areas around the pool after the recent hot weather and providing additional shade such as parasols and sails.

So please come along to support your local pool and to say say 'goodbye' to our team of volunteers. If you are unable to attend we are sorry to miss you but we will be back in the Spring!

We are still open!

Lovely weather is forecast for the last week of the season.

We are planning on selling home baked cakes this Saturday, our final session this year.

THUNDERSTORM WARNINGS, POOLSIDE SHOWERS AND A BIG THANK YOU TO OUR VOLUNTEERS!

Dear Members

Thunderstorm warnings

The long awaited rain has brought the recent hot spell to an end. (We had to dig way back to find some rainy photos of the pool!)

With the rain comes with the inevitable risk of thunderstorms and there are several weather warnings in place over the next few days.
There is a risk of disruption to the swimming sessions.

Please be aware that you may be asked to leave the pool and surrounding areas immediately in the event that thunder is heard and lightning is sighted so please follow the instructions given by our poolside supervisors. If a session is completely cancelled in the interests of safety, we will endeavour to post here. Thank you.

Showers

You may also be aware that our showers are currently out of order. They are unfortunately unlikely to be back in use before the bank holiday weekend. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Pool close date and thank you to our volunteers!

The pool closes for the season on Saturday 12th September. The summer has been a long hot one! Although it's been an amazing season, it's also been a challenge to manage the number of visitors and to keep everyone safe. None of our supervisors, helpers or committee are paid for the hours they devote to the pool. Often they are sacrificing time they could be spending with their own families in order to keep the pool a safe and happy environment for all of our members.
Without them, the pool simply wouldn't be here! Please remember to give a great big 'Thank You' to our volunteers next time you visit the pool!

We hope you enjoy the final few weeks at the pool and thank you for supporting us.

Workingham Lions Swimathon
20th September, 2026. Please sponsor our young volunteer!

Ethan, one of our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers, will be taking part in the Wokingham Lions Swimathon on 20th September. We are honoured that he will be swimming to raise money for the Polehampton Swimming Association!

If you are unable to swim during these sessions please give as much notice to cancel as you would need if you were making a booking.

Cancelling 30 minutes before the session start is usually too late for families to make use of those spaces.
