On 6th of July, we have had a pleasure to welcome Julia Bishop, Vice-Chair of Trustees, who officialy gave the club a cheque of £1,000 on behalf of the Polehampton Charity Trust as a donation to support the club and its development. THANK YOU again !

Well done to our 2026 club championship winners who fought hard on Monday 13th of July to have their names engraved to the trophies. Congratulations to Shas Veeramani, Adam Sheen, Marcello Caramma & Rob Wilkie. Also thanks to all supporters and participants who made this finals night a successfull one. Finally, a special recognition to Maggie Thornton who volunteered and coordinated so well this event over the last 4-5 months

Springfield/Twyford Table Tennis club received a great new from The Polehampton Charity Trust which awarded £1,000 to support the purchase of a table thus our development. If not aware yet, please visit their website https://www.thepolehamptoncharity.co.uk/ which is worth a read (especially its history) and such an asset for our community. They support individuals experiencing difficult circumstances, students, apprentices, school/PTA and community group projects by awarding financial grants.

AGM on Monday 22nd of June at Polehampton Junior School. KO @7:15. Duration expected to be ~1hr. We will then set-up practice tables for the ones interested. ALL are welcome to join the AGM and share thoughts/suggestions as well as possible interest to get more involved !

A special recognition to Liam Branco-Couillard who has been awarded the “Most Improved Junior” by the league (Reading & District Table Tennis Association = RDTTA) during their AGM on 3rd of June. We have also the pleasure of having Maggie Thornton joining the RDTTA committee and representing our club. WELL DONE to both !

There is an increasing interest from members to play competitively as part of the Reading & District League. We then plan to register a couple of more teams for a total of 5 next season (starting in September). If you are interested, please contact the club as decision to be taken as soon as possible in June ideally.

The 2025-2026 league season is now over. Well done to our 3 Teams and all the participating players. Special recognition to our 3 captains (Jason, Rob & Richard) for coordinating so smoothly all the matches, our 2 Juniors (Reuben & Liam) for their debuts and first wins & our 3 ladies (Maggie, Thao & Akshatha) for leading the path to hopefully many others.
