I’m still trying to find the words for yesterday, and honestly I still don’t think I fully have them yet.
When Meghan and I first planned this challenge, we knew we wanted something tough, a bit of fun, and something that really involved the community. Once the ball started rolling with the planning, I knew we had a great plan in place.
However… to see what actually went down yesterday was truly incredible, and to have been part of it, I feel so proud and so grateful 🙌🏻
The support was honestly unmatched. Seeing people show up in every possible way. Standing at the side cheering us on, walking laps, running laps with us, and sitting down together for a tea afterwards to celebrate! It genuinely meant more than I can explain.
The support. The effort. The people who pushed way beyond what they ever thought they could do not because they had to, but because they felt supported enough to try. That’s what got me!
We set a goal to raise £2,000 in total… and we’ve already doubled that, sitting at over £4,200 raised. The impact this will make for two incredible charities is massive, and that’s down to every single person who donated, supported and showed up.
I’m beyond grateful. Beyond proud. And genuinely honoured to be part of this community. Thank you to everyone who made yesterday what it was ❤️💙
A huge thank you to Meghan for teaming up with me to bring this challenge to life. I couldn’t have done this without you 🙇🏻♂️
