Sand le Mere Angling Club Rules
1. The use of this fishing lake is open to owners or holiday makers only
2. All anglers must hold a valid environment agency rod licence & membership/day ticket (to be produced upon request)
3. Anyone fishing a peg must pay £5 per day (except members) one angler only per peg
4. Juniors (under 16) fish for free but must be accompanied by a paying adult at all times
5. One rod only per angler maximum 2 anglers per peg (1 adult/1 junior)
6. All nets must be dipped before fishing
7. Maximum hook size 10 (barbless only) maximum line 8lb
8. All anglers must have their own landing net & disgorger
9. Groundbait in feeders & pole pots only
10. No boilies, tiger nuts, bread or floating/artificial baits
11. No braid & no fixed rigs (must be free running)
12. Bite alarms not permitted at all
13. No fishing between pegs
14. Anglers only permitted to fish upto halfway across the lake & halfway between pegs
15. All fish over 4oz must be landed and put back with landing net
16. If photographing a fish please hold at ground level with care
17. All fish to be put back carefully asap no holding fish in cloths/towels or gloves
18. It is an offence to remove any fish away from the lake
19. Keepnets not allowed (only in official matches)
20. Strictly no night fishing anglers must pack up when street lights come on
21. No bivvies, tents or boats
22. Toilet must be used as provided not bushes etc
23. Do not leave litter (inc cigarette ends)
24. Alcohol permitted in moderation
25. No pre baiting
Sand Le Mere Angling Club hold no responsibility for loss, damage or injury whilst on the premises. Bailiffs do patrol the lake and have the right to ask you to leave if these rules are not followed. All our rules are for the protection of the fish and everyone's safety and enjoyment please respect them.
