I’m feeling the pressure to do more...

I’m at an age now where my physical prime is here, and I don’t want to see it go to waste.

Not from a place of self-loathing or insecurity.

From a place of privilege.

I’m lucky enough to have my health and in a position to pursue my goals.

I’m not a millionaire with no kids, sipping a piña colada on a beach in Bali with nothing but time on my hands.

I’m busy as s**t, and there is more than enough life stress to go around 😅

But I want to maximise my time on this earth.

To be in the best shape of my life AND a great dad, coach, and husband.

I’ll be documenting some of the goals I’m setting and changes I’ll be making.

If you give a s**t, feel free to follow along.

New goals pending...

It's been a while since I've committed to long-term goal planning.

I've kept myself in decent shape and practiced the lifestyle I preach to my clients.

But I've kind of been coasting, or not really pushing myself out of my comfort zone.

But time waits for no man, and physically, right now is my peak, and I don't want to waste it.

I'll be documenting the changes I'll be making

(alongside inevitable setbacks, etc.)

Time to build more muscle, get fitter and more athletic 💪

Quick Hamstring Curl Tip

I had two people ask me why I use a band on this seated hamstring curl last week.

Unfortunately, not all hamstring curls have a thigh pad.

With nothing to secure you in the machine, your hips can shift forward when the weight gets heavy or you reach the end of a set.

The way I work around that is by using a band to anchor my hips down.

This is just going to help increase the stability of the lift and help me get more output from my hamstrings.

Plus, it helps focus on pushing harder, without having to worry about losing position.

If your gym has the same hamstring curl machine as this one, give it a go.

It's a game changer.

A quick story on beating kids…

At football, that is.

And, thoughts on staying fit as a parent.

TLDR: It’s probably worth taking a few hours out of your week to look after your health. To show up for your family AND feel proud about being able to do so.

Imagine reading these messages about yourself...

Can you imagine having energy “at an all-time high”?

Fitting into clothes you haven’t worn for years?

Actually feeling strong in your sessions and seeing progress?

Having a coach who listens to you and takes on board what you say?

Feeling “genuinely impressed” with how you look?

Feeling proud of yourself for looking after your health and not giving up?

I don’t share this kind of stuff to stroke my own ego.

I do it to show you what’s possible with a bit of commitment.

If you’re feeling stuck and anxious about your future health and happiness, and you’re ready to sort it out (once and for all)…

Reach out for a friendly chat.

I’m not someone who automates everything or palms you off to an AI pretending to be me.

Just shoot me a message and I’ll get back to you personally to see if coaching is right for you.

This week 😅

Beautiful in many ways, celebrating two of my kids' birthdays and spending a bit more time with them than usual.

But that's come at the “cost” of a lacklustre training week.

(which is ironic as my last post was about maximizing the last of my physical prime 🫠)

I'm not going to beat myself up for not being perfect, but I'm also not going to let my standards slip.

I've still got the rest of the week to make the most of, and next week to get back on track.

It's not because the gym is my entire personality, or because I'm anxious about eating too much cake and likely missing a session.

The balance of not beating yourself up whilst also pushing to do and be more is a hard one to get right.

I know in the long run I'll be happier being fit, strong and healthy, and feeling good about how I look.

I'm betting on putting in the work now to reap the rewards, Not just in the moment but down the line.

When health and vitality are the difference between playing with grandkids and being useful and independent or not.

If your schedule only allows you to get in the gym 2-3x per week.

You don't need to be perfect, but you DO need to push yourself and make each workout count.

If you can commit yourself to 3 45-60min training sessions per week and realistic lifestyle changes...

And you're done with letting life get in the way of your health and confidence...

Or second-guessing if you're doing the right things in the gym to build muscle and strength...

Shoot me a DM with the number "3"

I've made it my job to give you the solution to stop letting your job and family life throw you off feeling good about yourself again 🫡

If you’ve been in a bit of a slump recently...

Don’t beat yourself up.

There’s no denying that after 30, getting fit, healthy, and liking how you look is harder.

Hopefully, reading this testimonial has given you some hope.

Getting in shape isn’t impossible.

You can build a body you feel proud of.

Have better energy for your work, kids, and partner.

Not have to dread going to the doctor and hearing bad news.

Or get your passion and enthusiasm for life back.

A fat loss jab and a program from ChatGPT aren’t going to do that.

Accountability, structure, and support from a real person who takes your results personally will.

Another year of having the best intentions with the gym but letting life get in the way, like it does every time.

If you want to, make one investment into the most important thing you have, your health.

An investment that will keep paying you back for years to come...

Reach out by sending me a message.

We’ll have an honest conversation about you, your goals, and whether coaching is right for you.

No bots or sales scripts.

Just an honest conversation.
