I'm not sure if going to a Bon Jovi gig last night will help my jetlag but it was definitely worth it. They still put on a spectacular show and being there with the same school friends who I first saw them perform with over 30 years ago was pretty special. Feeling old and a little tired this morning but also very grateful...thanks guys!

As always, I went for the athletics and stayed for the culture. At the World Masters Athletics Championships in South Korea I placed 4th in triple jump and 6th in the decathlon (but the less said about my pole vault the better!). Lots of temples and palaces, huge roads even in city centres, cupboards of gas masks at public transport stations, amazing view from my hotel's rooftop pool, fabulous Korean buffets and barbecues, ridiculously high humidity (I've never sweated so much in my life!) and a lot of fun times with old and new friends. Hoping to be completely over jetlag by my 8am yoga class on Monday...

From total disaster at an open meeting on Tuesday evening where I barely scraped over 3m...to Kent champion with a new PB of 3.65m today! Bad days happen, but they just make the good ones feel even more special. Well done to my fellow medalists Luke and Roger (also masters athletes) and thanks to all the officials for a very well run and fun competition.
