Congratulations to who are celebrating Six Years in The Cricketer’s Top 20! 🏏

Mayfield has been named one of The Cricketer’s Top 20 All-Girls Schools for Cricket in the 2026 Schools Guide, their sixth consecutive year in this prestigious list!

The guide celebrates the very best cricketing schools across the UK and we’re incredibly proud to be recognised once again for our strong and growing cricketing programme. A huge well done to their players and the team whose talent and commitment continue to shine.

Congratulations to the U15 girls who came 2nd overall at the first-ever Catholic Schools’ Cricket Competition, hosted by last week.

Over three days of top-quality cricket, the Mayfield girls delivered standout performances — including a 6-wicket win vs Barnard Castle and an unforgettable 38-run victory over hosts Ampleforth.

Sounds like it was a very memorable tournament. Well done all. 👏

Congratulations to all the girls who attended the schools festival again this year. Some 50 girls attended the girls only festival, plenty of cricket was encouraged with an overall message to encourage more girls to play.

Festival results incredibly close between top 3 schools . Third was frant as a result of a bowl off because scores were level with st James who came second. St James lost to Ashdown by 5 run(1 wicket) !
