What a weekend of racing at the National Champs!
We had riders representing across short and full course with racing from Friday evening through to Sunday afternoon
A course that was suitably challenging pushed everyone to their limits and made for some exciting racing!
Massive thanks to the riders and to everyone who supported over the weekend as well as the organisation!

It’s been a while since we’ve been able to see Bronwen in action due to a shoulder injury but today she took the Welsh National XC Jersey at her first race back!
Awesome riding from Bronwen and Eilish saw them both on the podium with Eilish taking the win overall, Bronwen 2nd and first welsh rider
Next weekend we’ll be heading to the National XC Champs in Yorkshire with 4 of the team taking part and we can’t wait to see how they get on but for now 👏👏 to Bronwen who can wear the Welsh jersey with pride

Today was simply a perfect example of what Saint Piran Aventur is all about
Riders from across our platforms and friends from other clubs practising together, socialising, racing, learning, embracing the atmosphere and purely having fun!
Everyone put their all into the pre race practice sessions with guidance from our coach Martin, providing a relaxed atmosphere full of confidence building and encouragement. This was carried over into racing across all categories with everyone racing hard, confidently and mostly with smiles!!
We were proud to have riders racing and marshalling throughout the day with staff on hand to support and to capture the moments
Huge thanks to everyone involved and especially to for providing an awesome day of racing!

And that’s a wrap on the National Series and Eilish rounded it off with a 3rd place today and secured the win in the Women’s Elite standings across the series!
Phenomenal season, still plenty more races to come but a massive 👏 to Eilish for her consistency across the series

What a result that we are all so proud of . . .
Not only did Eilish take the win at todays National Series XC Short Course at Tong but she’s also taken the series win overall 🏆
The dedication and commitment it takes just to start these races is huge and to come away with a series win is proof of that. Super riding on a course that’s known to be technical and a great start to the weekend!
Tomorrow sees Eilish take on the full course, watch this space to find out how she gets on!

If you haven’t yet entered, then please do! A fantastic location and a great opportunity to support another xc course and club who are keen to give us the chance to race right here in Cornwall!
Don’t forget we’ll be running a women’s session on parts of the course in the morning, meet at 8:45 at the Saint Piran gazebo. A great opportunity to learn more about xc racing, meet some like minded women and have some fun! This session is open to all whether racing or not and across all abilities! Wheal Velocity Cycle Club have very kindly reduced the ‘on the day’ entry fee for the fun race for anyone taking part in our session so please do come along!

Free taster session for women!
Sunday 30th June, Rd 4 of the SWXC series at Wheal Jane. 8:45am meet for a 9am start
Join our coaches and riders for a max 2hr intro to xc session. An opportunity to look at the different aspects of racing, using sections of the course and areas for general skills
Anyone joining the session has the option to enter the fun race with entry on the day reduced to £15 for those taking part
As always this session is free and is suitable for all abilities with plenty of opportunity to learn new skills, practice already learnt techniques, have fun and ask questions
All very welcome, no need to book, arrive for 8:45am and meet at the Saint Piran gazebo!

This weekend saw some of our riders head to the inaugural Wheal Jane Classic, organised and run by
Every one of the team had barriers to overcome simply to be on the start line, whether confidence, physical or mental but our ethos is purely to support and encourage (in particular) women into our sport across any discipline and at any level whether for fun or competition
This weekend was no exception, everyone was supportive of one another and of others racing in their own events
We hope to see this event again next year and it would be great to see even more women taking part!

We love racing at Woodys!! Round 4 of the National XC Series didn’t disappoint, a fantastic weekend of racing on a fantastic course and we had riders from our women’s team, 0503 and Saint Piran! Huge thanks to everyone who supported those racing from teammates to staff
We were also able to get a few of the riders together for some training sessions on our local trails from Saint Piran Cafe, a great opportunity to keep on top of skills and have some fun

What a weekend! Round 3 of the National XC Series saw Will, Eilish and Hannah all taking on the short course with Will and Eilish also racing the full course on the Sunday. Some fantastic racing from all with the weather taking its toll, but an epic course and some great battles!
Cat also headed North, this time with no bike but to take on the challenge of the 3 peaks whilst raising money and awareness for a great cause. Head over to her page to learn more and if you’re able to donate then I know she’ll be so grateful!
This coming weekend is round 4 of the National XC Series and it’s just down the road for us! We’re looking forward to having the opportunity to get together, spend a few days riding with teammates and racing at a course that we all love!
