Plenty of action over the weekend with Lisa at round 3 of the SWCX league in Wadebridge finishing 2nd V50
Ella headed to Castle Combe for the National Road Bike TT Champs, a fantastic ride unfortunately marred by a hold up behind a tractor! Ella finished 16th and 4th in age group 👏
Finally, Lauren rode her final TT for the 2023 season, finishing 3rd and 1min quicker than earlier in the season
Well done to all!

‘Proper Cross conditions meant the course became really quite technical.
After my mechanicals of last week I had a clear race and tussled with first female V50 for the majority of the race until she pulled away in the final 10 minutes.
I was proud to stand on the second step podium representing 0503’
Great stuff Lisa!

Ella was also in action this weekend with her first time trial!
‘iTT round of the Oxford RRL today - never done an organised TT before so it was a great experience to test myself against the clock. A classic 10 mile dual carriageway course, not a lot of elevation but the wind made it a tough effort. I caught my minute rider and one other about half way through which was a great boost. Overall placed 2nd female road bike rider with a time of 24.37, faster than the winning female TT rider. Really enjoyed trying a different discipline and great to come away with a result 🥈
Fantastic work Ella, well done 👏👏

Naseby - Rd 5 of the British Women’s Team Cup
‘Gaby and me had a successful day out at the latest round of the British Team Cup, with us both in the top 20 - Gaby in 14th and me in 17th. After some tough racing on a rolling course with exposed headwind sections, two separate solo breaks escaped and it was down to a bunch sprint for the remainder of the places. It was a fight for position all the way into the bottom of the final hill, then the hill itself was leg zapping but both of us gave it a good go! Personally, I’m super happy with that result, especially after a hard National Series race on Friday’
Ella finished in 45th gaining even more experience and confidence within a fast paced race
Great riding from all

Ailsa’s first race in Saint Piran kit and she lined up next to Claire and Lauren from our feeder team 0503 - Women’s race team for the Cheltenham and Gloucester RR on Sunday
‘I had a really good first race in SPWRT colours, finishing 6th in the Cheltenham & County CC road race. The race was pretty cagey with none of the attacks sticking. I tried a few times to get in a break, including spending a bit of time in a strong 5-up but we were caught pretty quickly and it came down to a sprint up the final climb. I had a bad final corner hitting gravel at speed so had to straighten and run it wide, leaving me with a big gap to close. I went as hard as I could up the climb, picking riders off and in the final few hundred metres I had the front group in sight. I made it across just as we were crossing the line, just being pipped to 5th by a tyres width. Overall, really happy with how I rode and great to have an uphill finish!’
Ailsa
‘I came to the start line of this one feeling confident having previously ridden the course and having gained experience from the last few weeks racing. As we got going despite attempts to break, nothing was sticking and, on the whole the race stayed together. I was really pleased with how I was able to move around the bunch and hold my position amongst the wheels, something I previously would have backed away from. With placings being decided on the leg zapping climb to the finish was really happy to come over the line in 10th position. Lauren came home in 21st place after a solid ride’
Claire
Thanks to Cheltenham & County Cycling Club for a great event

Dudley GP - agreed by everyone that it was a tough race with wet, slippery roads and a couple of leg zapping climbs combined with such competitive racing made for some exciting racing!
Ailsa thoroughly enjoyed her first National Circuit Series race, she had a fantastic ride staying in the second group and finishing 34th
Rebecca unfortunately came down on lap one at a corner that saw many have issues throughout the afternoon and evening. She’s ok but was not able to finish the race
It was Sophie’s first race back after illness so the emphasis was on settling back into the racing, she finished 53rd
Annamarie, Hannah and Gaby all finished in the 2nd group in 21st, 31st and 39th
The team have had a day to recover and prep for tomorrows Lancaster GP
