CCASA Junior InterClub Champions 2026!🏆

The club is incredibly proud of everyone who raced for us today. With two teams competing and many new members taking part, everyone stepped up and gave their best in the fast paced competitive gala at Penzance pool.

Our swimmers showed great team spirit, racing strongly in both the individual events and the relays. It was fantastic to see so many new team members rise to the challenge in a superb team performance.

A big thank you also goes to our committee, club officials, parent helpers, and older squad members who gave up their time to help everything run smoothly. Events like this simply wouldn’t happen without your support.

The hard work in training is paying off, and we are delighted to be crowned CCASA InterClub Champions!

Swimmer of the Month: Poppy 👏🏼

In March (yes we are a bit behind 🫠), we celebrated our fabulous Poppy who headed to the CBH fast 5 sprint meet.
Poppy swam exceptional swims, her confidence growing with every event & placing in the top 10 overall in her age group. 🙌🏼

REGIONALS: FINAL WEEKEND 🤍

Last weekend saw our swimmers compete in the final weekend of Regionals at Millfield School, with some fantastic performances across the team. Setting the tone early was Benji, who produced a great swim in the 50m Breaststroke in his first regional competition. Marley and Seth then both impressed in the 400m Freestyle, each taking bronze medals while also breaking the 5 minute barrier long course for the first time. Esme continued the clubs momentum by making the 100m Breaststroke final, finishing 7th overall. Marley also reached the 50m Backstroke final in what proved to be an incredibly tight race, while Seth added another bronze medal to his collection in the 200m Individual Medley.

Day 2 brought even more opportunities for finals and medals from our small but mighty team. Marley rounded off an excellent Regional campaign by making both the 200m Backstroke and 100m Butterfly finals, finishing 5th in both events. Ella Holmes stepped up with a strong swim in the 100m Freestyle, climbing the Regional rankings, while Seth once again reached finals in both the 100m Butterfly and 50m Freestyle. The weekend finished with the gruelling 800m Freestyle, where Ava produced a solid swim following her backstroke finals the previous weekend. To end Regionals on a high, Seth delivered an outstanding performance to win gold in the 800m Freestyle with a huge new PB, a brilliant way to close the competition.

YOUTH WEEKEND

What a weekend for the Youth team! 💥🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️
Elsa kicked things off with a super strong swim in the 100 Fly, followed by a PB in the 50 Fly 🙌🏼
Dylan also smashed his 50 Fly, finishing with an impressive sub 30 PB! 🔥

Rosie qualified for her first Regionals and delivered a strong swim in the 50 Breaststroke 👏

Noah and Ava both had jam packed weekends of racing:
Ava achieved PBs and 11th place finishes in both the 100 Backstroke and 200 Backstroke, followed by two huge swims in the 400 Freestyle and 200 Freestyle. And then… she swam double PBs in both the prelims and final of the 50 Backstroke, finishing an amazing 7th place! 🌟

Noah’s highlight came in the 50 Backstroke, where he qualified for the final and came away with a PB and 9th place finish 👏🔥 He also put in strong swims in the 100 Backstroke and 50 Freestyle to round off a busy weekend.
Huge well done to everyone for their hard work and fantastic performances this weekend!

REGIONAL ROUNDUP WEEKEND 1

A fantastic weekend of high standard racing at the Millfield SE Summer Regional Championships.

Saturday kicked off with Marley and Manu competing in the 100 backstroke. Manu delivered an excellent performance in the heats, swimming a fast personal best, while Marley progressed to the final and secured an impressive 6th place overall. Esme put in a strong effort in the 50 breaststroke, narrowly missing out on a place in the final. Seth had a brilliant swim in the 200 freestyle, achieving a personal best in the heats and then going even faster in the final to claim a superb 2nd place.

In the 50 butterfly, both Seth and Marley made the final in a highly competitive field. Seth finished a close 4th, while Marley touched the wall in a fantastic 3rd place, adding another regional medal to his collection from last year.

Sunday saw Ella produce a solid swim in the 50 freestyle. Seth and Marley both advanced to the final of the 100 freestyle, where the racing was incredibly tight. Marley finished 7th, and Seth fought hard to secure a well earned 3rd place and another medal.

One of the standout moments of the weekend came in one of the final events, where Seth delivered a huge performance in the 1500m freestyle. He achieved a massive long course personal best to become the Regional Champion. An outstanding achievement.

Well done to everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of all your efforts and performances.

SE SWR SUMMER CHAMPIONSHIPS

This weekend marks the beginning of the Regional Age Group events at Millfield, a huge congratulations to all our qualifiers, we’ve had huge efforts in the pool this season & now it’s time for swims on the big stage!
