ITS TIME - We are looking for a new team!!! ✨
We have achieved so much since started GSC! We have opened, designed and fundraised for two new skateparks in Cambridge, donated a kicker ramp to trumpington skatepark, attended Nike SB private events, organised many community projects such as the Cambridge planet skate mob, competitions, market stalls, worked closely with and have supported in getting significant funds for the donkey common skatepark.
We've worked closely with local skate schools ensuring female representation in our sport, supported girl skaters with promo videos and sponsorships and we have exhibited artwork at .surf.uk . On top of all this we have run multiple meet and greets, providing supportive opportunities to skate together, encouraging representation and providing a safe space for women, trans and non-binary skaters. The honest aim of this group is to one day not need it and to have complete fair representation in our sport. Luckily this has already improved, especially if you look at our younger generation due to the work of our amazing local skate schools, and . Unfortunately we still receive many messages from locals telling us of discrimination they have faced in our local parks so there is still work to be done! 🩷
None of this would have happened without our amazing team of volunteers! Thank you so much for everything you have done over the last 4 years! And a special thanks to Taya Field who has been the leader of all of this, she has worked tirelessly to make these things happen. 🛹
Sadly time goes on and life changes, we are now looking for a fresh face for girl skate. People who would like to carry on this incredible legacy. Please contact us if you are interested in leading or supporting GSC! ✌️🌻

New skatepark in shelford we have been involved with supporting. We have been campaigning for flat concrete rather than huge metal ramps that just fall into decay.
We would love to have bigger and better parks but unfortunately our current government is useless and aren't putting money into public funding for community projects.
Please remember that all of these smaller projects are run by community members and volunteers that fundraise thousands. These parks wouldn't happen at all without the support and efforts of local individuals!!
We need more people activity engaging and supporting these local projects!
Haslingfield, Burwell, Saffron Walden, Shelford, Trumpington, Waterbeach, Orchard Park have happened due to active individuals.
It's easy to criticize builds without actively being involved with making change. These parks will be loved and used, especially by local kids and in our opinion the more facilities the better!!!

Got a little VIP invite to the preview of the new skateboarding exhibition at the design museum in London. Open to the public from 20/10/23 -

It was absolutely rad and shows skateboarding through time - please check it out its on from tomorrow until June! They also have a sick mini ramp ( I think it's around 4ft to 8ft ish) so take your board with you when visiting!!!!!
