Reflections on our inaugural season

Starting a rugby league team in a non-heartlands area was always going to be challenging. Whilst we didn’t achieve everything we set out to, we did get lads playing rugby league, which was brilliant to see.

We’re already planning for the 2023 season and hope to make a few big announcements over the off-season.

Cup Fixture postponed

Due to the extended rugby union season and some player injuries, we’ve had to delay the start to our season and our cup fixture against Bedford won’t be going ahead on Saturday!

We’re working to re-arrange the fixture and expect to be in action next weekend when we take on North Herts Knights.

We’re absolutely gutted as the guys have been working hard in pre-season to learn the game.

We’re still welcoming players down for the season. If you’re interested in playing, get along to our next session, or DM for more info 🦁
